The keiko armor is different from the tanko armor. It was transferred to Japan from the continent of China by way of Korea. In the Era of Burial Mounds, it was used together with tanko armor. The main material of the keiko armor is small plate of steel or copper. The small plates are tied with leather strings of braids. Sleeves, tassets and bracelets were attached to body protector. The keiko armor was used with the Kanto Tachi at the waist and the quiver on the back. This figure was deduced by examining the haniwa (clay images) and the finds.
Besides mabizashi-tsuki kabuto was used with the keiko armor. The photo shows the reproduction of the keiko armor which was reproduced by imitating kondo-sotatehagi armor and hosoitabbyodome-mabisashitsuki kabuto found at gion, kiyokawa-mura, kamisokutsu-gun, Chiba Prefecture.
